Winter Surprise Proposal at Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado

It was so awesome seeing all of Morgan’s hard work play out successfully when she proposed to Bailey at Lookout Mountain Park! Morgan had been planning a surprise proposal with me for months for when she and Bailey were out in Denver on vacation together. Bailey and Morgan met while training to be EMTS and they have been inseparable ever since. Morgan was really hoping for some snow on the day of the proposal and she got her wish! The day of, there was a beautiful sprinkle of fresh snow and ice on the ground and trees which made the view look extra magical. Morgan brought Bailey to our spot with the guise of a short scenic walk before dinner downtown. She set up a tripod and her phone to take a picture of them and the view but when they went to take the “picture” (which she had actually set to video) she popped down on one knee. And of course, Bailey said yes!

Lookout Mountain Park in Golden, Colorado is a fantastic spot for surprise proposal photography. It is a quick drive from downtown Denver and is apart of the front range so you don’t have to travel far into the mountains. And it is the tallest peak in Golden, CO standing at over 7,300 ft. Depending on where you go, there are breathtaking scenic views of the foothills and mountains as well as Denver. Another thing that I love about Lookout Mountain Park is that there are a lot of very scenic spots that are super accessible for everyone so you don’t have to be a skilled hiker. The spot that we chose for Morgan and Bailey’s surprise proposal was about a 2 minute walk from the parking lot. Morgan told me specifically that talking about the perfect surprise proposal that Bailey wanted a beautiful view but was very adamant about making sure she doesn't look like she just climbed Mt. Everest when she is proposed to (something I totally relate with haha)!

I had so much fun capturing Bailey and Morgan’s surprise proposal. I was so honored I got to document this moment for them and help them celebrate!
