LGBTQIA+ Lincoln Memorial Engagement Photos
Erica and Ellison had the most beautiful classic sunrise engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C this spring! We had the perfect weather and the most beautiful sunrise ever. I highly recommend to all my clients in order to avoid crowds and get the idea light that we aim to shoot at sunrise for sessions at the Lincoln Memorial. I was SO happy Erica and Ellison were willing to get up early for their engagement session because pure magic happened!
A little bit about the couple and our session…
Erica and Ellison met in college out in California. The two were in the same ballroom dance class together and were paired up. They instantly hit it off and have been together ever since. Fun fact, I did ballroom dancing in college as well for a required gym class… I totally sucked but it was fun and a cool alternative to a traditional gym class!
For their session, we started at the base of the reflecting pool. Then we headed over to the steps leading up to the Lincoln Memorial (those were my favorite photos… we got some gorgeous direct sunlight portraits there). Next, Ellison and Erica also requested we do some photos at the D.C War Memorial which is near by since that was a spot they really liked. We then returned to the Lincoln Memorial and finished out our session there.
Erica and Ellison did a really great job picking out their outfits for their engagement photos. Both of them have AMAZING style and chose outfit that color wise, were absolutely perfect (if you don’t already know, I am a neutrals queen… haha) and were easy and comfortable for them to move around in for photos which makes a huge difference.
I really enjoyed my time with Erica and Ellison to help them celebrate their engagement!
