Blaire and Jimmy had one of the most beautiful and quintessential Washington, DC weddings I have ever photographed on September 7th at the Carnegie Institution of Science . I absolutely adored working with Blaire and Jimmy and getting to know them both this past year. Both Blaire and Jimmy are two incredibly driven individuals who enjoy traveling as much as they can, trying new restaurants and playing basketball together. As DC locals, it was so clear to me how well they knew their city and all the hidden gems in it. They took me to really gorgeous locations in Georgetown for their July engagement session and during our sunset portraits took me to some really cool areas in NW DC. Speaking of their engagement session, they submitted one of their photo’s from that to the New York Times that got published in their wedding announcement section. How cool is that?!

One of my favorite moments of the day were their portraits with their dog Nora on the front steps of the Carnegie Institution of Science. Nora greeted the two in a beautiful flower necklace and they had the sweetest moment together as a family. I also really got a kick out of Blaire and Jimmy cutting their cake! Blaire had been telling me for weeks she was most excited for their cake (I mean who doesn’t love sweets) and the look on her face when it was time to cut the cake was priceless.

Congratulations Blaire and Jimmy! I wish you both nothing but positive vibes and the very best in your marriage. Music is a highly visual experience for me and I also associate specific music with all the important people including all my clients. To kick things off, Something Just Like This really makes me think of Blaire and Jimmy’s love story. Blaire and Jimmy LOVE Coldplay (as do I) and at their final meeting we were chatting about concerts and realized we both saw them live on the same tour in 2017.
