Old Town Alexandria Fall Engagement Session | Basma and Tamer

Basma and Tamer are one of my November couples and man I am not kidding when I tell you this was my all time favorite engagement shoot of my career so far (been saying that a lot lately but I am constantly more and more inspired by my couples every shoot)! We shot in multiple spots all over Old Town Alexandria.

There were so many things I loved about their engagement session. First and foremost I LOVED that both of them wanted to incorporate the beautiful houses and architecture of Old Town Alexandria in their shoot. Basma, being an interior designer has a special place in her heart for beautiful buildings and had a sharp eye for spotting some of the locations we shot at. I also loved the outfits that they picked to wear. For their first outfit, they dressed in traditional outfits to celebrate their middle eastern culture. Basma had the most beautiful fuchsia pink dress and scarf. As for their second outfit, they followed my style suggestions to a tee (which high five to them) that was a more casual and comfy look. Basma had great accessories for this look which included a beautiful statement necklace and hat ( dear future couples please wear more hats! <3 ). Lastly, I loved that Basma and Tamer both wanted engagement photos that didn’t have the traditional lovely dovey look to them and wanted artsier poses. I have come across a few couples this year with this same sentiment as them and that has always be a fun challenge.

I absolutely loving hanging out with Basma and Tamer and I can’t wait until their wedding in Charlottesville in early November!
