Winter Engagement Photos at Roxborough State Park in Littleton, Colorado | Sarah and Alex
In November 2023, I photographed Sarah and Alex’s engagement photos at Corvus Coffee’s Littleton location and Roxborough State Park which was also located in Littleton, Colorado as well. Sarah and Alex booked my extended engagement session with me which includes a two hours of photography coverage. This is something I HIGHLY recommend all engaged couples working with me to book because we can hit 2 locations, have the opportunity for more outfit changes and of course not feel rushed during our time together.
We spent the first part of their engagement session at Corvus Coffee which is one of Sarah and Alex’s favorite cafe date spot. It was really important to them that we got some cute photos of them enjoying coffee during their engagement session. Corvus Coffee’s Littleton location was a fantastic backdrop for photos. On the inside, there is a ton of natural window light and the decor of the space can best be decribed as a very modern industrial vibe. There was lots of different spaces inside the cafe for photos such as window seating, a coffee bar and individual tables. Outside has many great options as well. We utilized their outdoor seating and the white brick on the building (white brick is my literal favorite) as backdrops.
For the second location for their engagement photos, we headed to Roxborough State Park which was about a 20 minute drive from Corvus. Roxborough has a ton of absolutely INCREDIBLE views of red rocks and the park itself it quite big so there is no shortage of backdrops for photos. And it is a very accesible scenic area very close to Denver without having to go into the mountains. A few things to know about Roxborough State Park when doing photography there…. 1. There is a photography permit and fee to shoot here so make sure that you purchase one / send in paperwork before your photo shoot. 2. During your photo shoot, you must stay on the paved pathways.
Sarah and Alex put a lot of effort into planning their engagement session which made my photographer heart very happy! We discussed in detail their outfit choices. Their final outfits (a green velvet dress with white boots for Sarah and a navy suit with a fun pocket square for Alex) turned out to be some of my all time favorites and were included in my 2024 Portrait Style guide. Sarah also invested in professional hair by Josh McNab at Deseo Salon & Blowdry and makeup by Lena Solovjova. And lastly, they had a custom cake with their wedding date made for a prop for their save the date photos.
I had SO much fun photographing Sarah and Alex’s engagement session! I am manifesting more engagement sessions as well planned and intentional as theirs in the future!
