Summertime Sunset Couples Maternity Photos at Mt. Falcon
Last August, I took couples maternity photos of Jamie and Seth! This was Jamie’s first pregnancy and she wanted to get some couples maternity photos celebrating her pregnancy and upcoming birth of her daughter Scottie with her husband Seth. We chose to do sunset photos at the beautiful Jefferson County open space park Mt. Falcon West. Mt. Falcon West has incredible mountain views that are very easy to access without having to do a long walk or hike (which is perfect for my pregnant clients).
Jamie and Seth wore two outfits in their photo shoot. To start, they both wore white tees with some jeans. Just like myself, Jamie loved the look as a casual and modern day maternity phototography look. She wore a white crop tank top with baggy ripped jeans that she had unbuttoned and unzipped to show off her pregnant belly. For a fewphotos, she wore a baggy white dress shirt draped on her arms to switch things up. Lastly, for their more dressy photos Jamie wore a beautiful long cream-colored flowy dress and Seth wore a short-sleeved cream-colored dress shirt with his jeans. The colors and aesthetic that they chose for both outfits worked so well.
In the beginning of their shoot, we started out in a wooded area where we got lots of glowing sunlight peaking through the trees. We then moved to a more open field area that had lots of epic views of mountains. And once the sun started to dip a little, we headed over to my favorite spot of Mt. Falcon to capture the best mountain views in my opinion during the sunset. It started to storm right when we ended our shoot but before then, the mixture of the pink skies from the sunset and storm clouds looked so epic in the final photos.
I had so much fun photographing Jamie and Seth! The two of them had such a natural presence in front of my camera and taking their photos was so easy. It is also abundantly clear as first-time parents how excited they were for the birth of their daughter Scottie. I just know they are loving being parents. Congratulations to them!
